Clothing Care Guide
Winning garments are designed to be easy for you to care for. We recommend that you wash your Winning garments on a normal cool machine wash cycle with regular powder or liquid detergent, not wool detergent. Don’t use fabric softener or bleach. Separate lights and darks as usual. Also, do not expose any Winning garment to heat and do not tumble dry. We strongly recommend line dry indoors only.

NOTE: Any washing during a hot sunny day will lead to an increase of temperature in the water supply. Do try to wash your garments in the morning or during the evening.

  • Wash similar colors together (e.g separate lights and darks)
  • Wash prints inside out
  • Close all zippers
  • Use cool machine wash on a normal cycle (avoid a hot wash, this contributes to wool shrinking)
  • Use regular detergent
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener under any circumstances (your garment couldn’t be any comfortable)
  • Wash occasionally with denim (e.g. jeans) or other coarse fabrics to remove any loose fibers.
  • Do not iron prints or labels
  • Line dry garments – do not tumble dry (except socks)
  • Do not sun dry

For Winning Down Jackets:

  • Dry clean only

For Winning Windbreakers:

  • Machine Washable but wash similar colors together only (Do not tumble dry)

Other Care Tips
Hand Washing:

  • We would recommend that our customers hand wash their garments with regular washing powder. However, do not soak it for a long period as it may cause shrinking.

Fleece:

  • Wash in warm water with mild detergent and hang to dry. Tumble drying puts unnecessary wear and tear on garment and causes premature pilling. Do not dry clean or iron. Should be washed with other synthetic clothing (polypropylenes, polyesters, nylons, etc) so lint does not build up on it during washing.

Hard/Soft Luggage Casing:

  • For both hard & soft luggage casing, we recommend spot cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner (mild soap) with a damp towel. Give it a good rub around the stain area. However, we do not recommend that you try to use any kind of polish cleaner.

Sleeping Bags:

  • Store it in a cool/dry place when not in use. It is machine washable however close all the zippers before washing.

Tents:

  • Proper cleaning and storage of yout tent will help prolong its life. Before storing your tent, clean all dust and dirt with a sponge. Clean it again with a clean wet sponge. Allow the tent to dry completey before storage. Do not soak and machine-wash it. Store it in a cool/dry place when not in use.
